Lookout is the safety net or last resort for those who have few housing options, and are homeless or at high risk of being homeless. While the majority of our clientele are referred from a variety of community and government services, increasingly many simply walk in from the street.

Occasionally, Lookout guests have been through the system numerous times and have burnt bridges behind them, or they may be individuals who have, by their actions/behaviour, alienated themselves from others.

Through advocacy, referrals and liaison with sister agencies, we help them progress towards meeting their multiple needs

The Society operates programs at sites located in three municipalities, Vancouver, New Westminster and the North Shore. Our Vancouver services are the most numerous, and primarily located within the Downtown Eastside.
