VOLUNTEER THANKS

I just wanted to take the time to send some feedback about the event.
I thought the event was incredible. I've never volunteered for an event like yours before. And for me, the event gave me a whole new perspective. I never once disrespected the homeless, however I did avoid them in fear. I loved meeting everyone at the event, having conversations with people I don't think I otherwise would have, and being able to give free clothes and pillows. Handing out the pillows specifically was the best part of my day....
...Honestly, your event was life changing for me. I have a new outlook on the homeless, making a difference, and a new appreciation for my life. Thank you so much for putting the event together.

I just wanted to send a huge thank you to you for setting up our volunteer placement. It's been a couple of weeks and the kids are still talking about what an amazing experience they had. It was the highlight of their week and a lot of them talked about how it completely changed their perspective of the downtown eastside. It was great working with you and I really hope we can set up another placement for the camp next year.

I just wanted to thank you for helping me organise for our group to come and volunteer. The entire group had a great time and I think a large part of that was due to the appreciation shown by your staff and the tenants of the Jim Green Building, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

TEAM BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES Group Volunteering is a wonderful Team Building exercise. We’ll provide lunch and snacks as your corporate Team applies their skills in one day or half day activities! Ideally suited for activities such as painting a Shelter hallway, or perhaps some light landscaping in a courtyard garden. Contact Karen at kareny@lookoutsociety.ca to find out more!
